There may still be time to order one of these great Amazon deals for Firefighters. Amazon can be super speedy with shipping. But if you’re still looking for that perfect Father’s Day gift. One that will really wow him. One you will save for him to open until after the kids go to bed…….
Hold those thoughts. This is a PG-rated website. I’m talking about a book about S-E-X in your marriage written by a friend-of-a-friend of mine whom I got to know better through her blog.
Marla Taviano is a most fabulous and entertaining writer who happens to be one of the kindest, non-pushy, bible-smart, orphan-loving Jesus freaks I know. No matter your religious beliefs, stick with me here.
Her eBook, The Husband’s Guide to Getting Lucky, is not Fifty Shades of Gray, but it will definitely get you and your husband turned on in all the right ways. Sex is not a bad word in the Bible. In fact God planned for husband and wife to really, really, really enjoy each other sexually. And I’m calling you all liars if you say you have no need for improvement in the bedroom. Always strive to be the best *wink wink*.
Let me pause and share Marla’s view:When it comes to sex, husbands get a bad rap, but truthfully, most of them aren’t selfish, lustful pigs that think with their you-know-whats. They just happen to be wired for sexual intimacy and want to enjoy some with the woman they married. Too bad we wives aren’t on the same page, huh.In The Husband’s Guide to Getting Lucky, I clue guys in to the way their wives operate and give them practical suggestions for being husbands their women want to make love to. It’s a short, fun, easy read (for us girls too!).
And now the best part. It’s only $2.99. So grab it now here. You don’t need an eReader. Kindle readers are available for smart phones and laptops as well. (But if you’re really interested, read my thoughts on the Kindle Fire here.)
Another interesting note about Marla. Her 34 year old husband suffered a heart attack last October while playing basketball. Yup. 34. Probably many of you fire wives are aware that it’s the first few moments of a heart attack that can make the difference between life and death. So our EMS-ing husbands really are life-savers in these cases. Marla and Gabe felt such gratitude towards the firefighters who tended to him that Marla wrote an awesome post about the whole ordeal. You can read it here. It’s always nice to read some feel-good stories. Share this one with your heroic husbands as well. Not enough patients come back with thank yous like this.
Still not convinced?
BUY IT FOR YOURSELF AND DON’T TELL YOUR HUSBAND!
I did. It’s very insightful *wink wink*. And for those willing, I’m thinking about doing a summer online book read-a-long (see Marla’s blog – she’s an expert at these read-a-long things). The title?
Hot Summer Nights
