House Goes Into Lockdown Now

I know the weather is changing. This week we are warmer than average (70′s) even though it’s going to rain during the warm weather we hear. But it’s cooler in the mornings and evenings and there is always dew, a very thick dew now. Ugh, I’m not a fan of fall.

With the weather change also comes this darn daylight change which is the worst. Being in Seattle there are more than a few of us with seasonal mood disorder (I think it’s called) It’s the fact that we don’t get to see the sunshine and we truly do lack vitamin D. Anyway, the weather change and light change starting makes a difference.

But no bigger difference than the fact that the house is getting locked up so early. It seems like overnight that I started locking it up at least 2 hours earlier. It’s still warm enough, but by 9pm it’s pitch black out. Yes, I’m sure hubby will be glad to hear that it’s all locked up safely so early on days he’s at work. One reason I have to is my dogs creep me out by barking at every noise that was NOT made and I get tired of jumping.

How fast I have to get the house locked up will also have to depend on what is on tv for the night. Umm, it’s been thrillers lately so I’m a little extra jumpy.

But I know it will be sooner and sooner each day. It’s a sad reality of the calendar changing. I’m not a fan of fall. Except for the fact that football is on a minimum of 4 days a week!!!
