I have added the commentluv premium plugin to all of my sites and this has an added feature for commenting. It’s just a matter of clicking the box saying you aren’t a spammer, but I wanted to make you aware of it. It could request you validate yourself even if you are a frequent commenter.
I get 100′s of spam a day on the site so this is hopefully the only step I need to fix the problem. I have to go through all the spam because I do find newbie comments mixed in with the spammers. Frustrating, but a major part of online life I know.
As an added benefit if you are using the free version of commenluv you will now get to link to your site from your blog post. I also have it set up to link to your twitter account. Paid plugins ROCK! Don’t get me wrong, I use a lot of free plugins on all of my wordpress sites, but when I finally fork out some money for a plugin you better believe it’s amazing.

I have it on all my sites and blogs now and am very glad I added it. It’s brought a lot of traffic, some good some bad. Each blog has different settings as of course the focus of the blog may tend to bring more spam than another. lol
Well I think another dollar or two won’t hurt just so I could get rid of all the spam. Is there any way I could get it for free and still get all there is in the $3.95 package?
Hi Frank, there is no free option for my hosting nor for the premium plugin. There is a free commentluv option, but it doesn’t have any help with the spam. There are many free options for help with spam if you go to wordpress.org and search the plugins.
Commentluv premium doesn’t get anybetter than this or does it?
