		<description>Mandatory or last minute OT is a whole other subject.  lol  Our weather is unusually hot and awesome right now.  You can bet there is a lot of OT going out.  lol  But why do they wait until 7:30am to call in?  Shift change is at 8 for goodness sake.</description>

		<description>Hey Val, I sooo know/understand/live your rant!  My husbands dept is smaller so OT is more frequent and we have mandatory OT.  My biggest peeve is to get that call 10 min before he is supposed to go off shift that he&#039;s being held over because someone JUST called in sick, 10 min before their 24 hour shift was to begin!  Half the time the guy isn&#039;t sick - its a good day for boating/skiing/biking, etc.  And it always seems to happen on a day that I could use a little help with the kids for an hour or so.  Grrrr, okay you can tell my feelings on that!  Our kids are still little and on the days he is home the kids are always asking him when he&#039;s leaving for work.
