Central Ohio Fire Wives! Let’s meet in person again!
A great cause is always a great excuse to get together. And McNamara Park is such a nice facility. Walkers are welcome. Looks like at least 2 or 3 of us can make it and we’d love to meet more of you.
Here are the details:
Genoa Firefighters Local 4307 will be hosting their 6th annual fundraiser 5K and Kids’ Run at the newly renovated McNamara Park on Saturday, October 13th. A portion of this year’s race will benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital and will wrap up National Fire Prevention Week. All children are welcome to participate in the “Beat the Chief” Kids’ Run! The Genoa Fire Chief, as well as other firefighters will be running with the kids in a 1K Fun Run for kids of all ages! The $5 entry fee will serve as a direct donation to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Date: Saturday, October 13th
Location: McNamara Park, 7049 Big Walnut Road, Westerville, 43082
Time: Race day registration – 7:30, Kids’ Fun Run – 8:30 am, 5K – 9:00 am
Entry Fee:
- Kids’ Fun Run: $5 entry fee will serve as a direct donation to Children’s Hospital
- 5K: $25 through October 6th; $30 thereafter through race day (includes event t-shirt and post-race refreshments). Event t-shirts are only guaranteed to pre-registered participants.
Race Packets: All registrants will receive an event t-shirt and post-race refreshments.
Awards: Prizes will be awarded to:
- Top 3 overall male and female finishers
- Top 3 finishers in each of the following categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over
