West, Texas: How You Can Help the Families of Fallen Firefighters

by | Events, Everyday

howmayweserve-youHow can I help?  What can we do?  It’s the cry of the fire wives in a time of need.  It’s the scenario that every fire wife has imagined but never wants to face.  Being the widow of a Fallen Firefighter.

Here’s a round up of ways you can take that ache in your heart and turn it into action.

Fire Strong Daily Challenge

Follow along at our Facebook Page and Instagram for the Fire Strong Daily Challenge.  Mind, body, spirit or just plan stubborness.  We give you a challenge to focus on for the day that will make you an even stronger fire wife.   It’s especially important to keep our focus during weeks like this and not be drug down into the negativity.

If you are the wife of firefighter, please join our Private Wives Group

These ladies are a true sisterhood and especially in times like these offer comfort and understanding and friendship like no other women in your life.  Many ladies from Texas are joining just to have someone to talk to during this rough week.  If you need to be encouraged or want to be an encourager or both, you can serve immediately when you join this group.   Join at FirefighterWife.com/connect

Monetary Donations are the best way to help at this time:  National Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation

Texas goes big for EVERYTHING!  So at this moment the town of West, Texas is sufficiently supplied with water and physical goods.  But it will take a lot of money to rebuild that city.

In particular, we like to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation which helps to support the families of fallen firefighters.

Bloggers seem to be the most “in the know” people sometimes.  I love how they are so connected 🙂

Here’s a great summary post by a blogger with lots of events taking place this weekend.

Oh yeah….GIVE BLOOD!

The following two tabs change content below.
On a mission to be and inspire us all to be better humans, to strengthen fire families & marriages, to nurture and encourage fire wives, do "good business" in all areas of my life and of course, love on my 4 kids.
