Stop wearing that uniform!
Why perhaps you are bored with your outfits..

Today I was sitting in a coffee shop in Chicago after going to a casting for hair modeling. Nope, I didn’t get chosen, but that’s OK! There are plenty of promotional modeling jobs that I can snag up in Chicago. πŸ™‚

I noticed, that I didn’t feel like myself. I was wearing this sweater that I got in the morning from downstairs in the basement. I bought it about 7 years ago. It’s just not me. It’s a “normal” sweater that most people would wear, but I don’t like it.

“The Sweater” – I covered it up with my black and gold bedazzled scarf to make it more me. πŸ™‚

Do you ever feel like you’re wearing “normal people” clothes, but hey, you don’t even like them! You just feel like that’s what normal gals wear – a sweater, a pair of pants and a big puffy coat for winter. : ) Well, my message to you today is to get out of that uniform! If you don’t like it, why are you wearing it?
Experiment with your OWN Style!

I think that all of us have a little visual memory bank that we pull from when we get dressed. Sometimes our visual memory banks need to be refreshed because what’s in there is not appealing or stimulating to us.
To re-invite you into the world of developing a style that really suits you and what turns you on, I’ve put together where I get my dressing inspiration from.

Here is my visual memory bank:

This is going to be fun! πŸ˜€ Let me show you how these styles have translated into my daily life!

#1. India

Although, I think that this has always been there somewhere, this visual memory picture really started coming to life in my everyday outfits after visiting India and shortly before my trip even.

One Indian Style Tip: Don’t be afraid of color. Do it Indian style! Clash those colors baby! It’ll look great. You’ll be the most radiant woman in the room. Va Va Boom!

I wear one of these Indian scarves at least 3 times per week. Here you can see a mix of styles. I can see a Princess influence in this outfit (which we’ll talk about below) and of course Indian inspiration. This picture is a great example of how you can integrate the Indian style and a Princess Style into an everyday look.

Indian Style Tip: Just add one of these shawls to your outfit and you have instant India appeal.

BONUS TIP! – Add about 6 Gold bangles for a really Knockout look!

These two style ingredients are two of my personal secret weapons and two of the things that I keep in my visual memory bank for when I want to get dressed quickly and look Fantastic!

#2. Princesses and Queens

Oh La La! Now, who could resist this style? Classic, timeless, elegant and it makes you feel like the more than A Million Bucks that you are!

Rose Charmer Necklace (1)

EASY Princess Look Tip: Find a sweetheart neckline. This is a for sure Princess look.

Basic Princess Formula: A long black dress, a dazzling necklace and neat, tidy hair. It’s SO easy!

The dress that I’m wearing in this picture was $10.30! It’s super comfy! I wear it on flights to Asia! The jewelry isn’t uncomfortable at all. I feel comfy and beautiful when I wear this. Give it a try too, why not! πŸ˜€

#3. Ballerinas

The only / main thing about my look that is “ballerina” is my hairstyle. I wear my hair in a ballerina bun almost everyday. Although it is just one aspect of the entire look, it does make a big impact. I feel like my bun pulls my look together and keeps it tidy. Plus, it takes 1 – 3 minutes and it doesn’t fly into my face. πŸ™‚ (That annoys me.)

Note: Here this outfit also uses the Indian image and the Princess image. πŸ˜€ You can totally mix these looks. It’s fun!

#4. Jackie Kennedy

Isn’t she just Awesome! Not only her style do I admire, but her posture, her confidence, her class and poise. That is really the cherry on top of it. When I put my outfits together or when I dream of buying a dress, I never think of just wearing it. I think about, what will I do in that dress? I think of me doing my dreams in that dress!

I would like a pill box hat in every color. : )

Here Jackie is in Princess style!

That was SO much fun! I hope that this inspires you to ditch any clothes that are boring you and pull out those pieces that just light you up and make you feel like the truest you possible!
