Yarnell Fire Wives Speak in Newly Released Documentary

by | Everyday

All fire wives are welcome here.  All.  That means….All. Of. You.

Volunteer. Career.  Paid on Call. Wildland.  Military.  Overseas contractor.  If your husband willingly runs into a fire to save people and property, you qualify.

And when anyone in that firefighting community is affected by a tragedy, we all feel the pain and stand united to support in any way possible.

It’s been only 6 months since the Yarnell Fire took 19 Prescott, AZ “Hot shots” – a special crew of wild land firefighters.   In this documentary by the Weather channel just released today, hear from some of the wives, family and fellow firefighters including the sole survivor from that crew.

As a fire wife, I stand for all of our community and say we continue to pray and lift up those wives and families and the departments as they rebuild their lives in a new normal.

And to all of us fire wives who are blessed to have our firefighters safely home with us each day, carry on, stronger and more in love than ever.   Every day is a gift.
