What is #servefirst?
FirefighterWife.com encourages everyone to join in on Random Acts of Service the 1st of every month. Each month we will announce our next project ahead of time for you to be able to prepare.
February’s #servefirst
January’s Sisterhood Declutter Program leaves a lot to work with!
Remember all of that decluttering we’ve been doing this month? Donate all of the clothing, toys, shoes, blankets, towels and even food from decluttering the pantry to local shelters. Shelters for the abused and abandoned, homeless shelters, you can’t go wrong no matter what shelter you choose! Some shelters accept all types of donations, call ahead if you are unsure of what they accept. You can even contact the local animal shelter to see if they would take less than perfect blankets and towels to use for the animals instead of throwing them out.
Get rid of clutter and let others gain treasures.
You can find us on FACEBOOK, TWITTER and INSTAGRAM, take a photo of your donation, post it and make sure to use the hashtag #servefirst. We look forward to seeing all of the Acts of Service that are so simple, yet needed.

Ha! What a great idea for the tattered towels and sheets I’m tossing! I never thought of the animal shelter before, but that is the perfect place to donate those. Thanks!!!
