My husband’s favorite meal for me to make for the firehouse is lasagna. I’m not sure why, I don’t eat it and have no idea what it tastes like because I am too picky to try it with the ingredients he likes…. I literally just follow the recipe on the pasta box and toss in some extras like mushrooms, onions and sometimes peppers, but he seems to love it. That could totally be a Thanksgiving meal if you weren’t looking for a traditional meal. We’ve pulled a few favorites that should satisfy those of you who prefer traditional meals, those who really don’t mind something a little less traditional on Thanksgiving and I didn’t leave out those of you with a sweet tooth.
These recipes are what I would expect at Thanksgiving. We’ve got the turkey, the dressing, sweet potatoes and chicken and dumplins? DELISH! Click each link to see these recipes for yourself. Maybe you’ll find one you want to try out before Thanksgiving day so you can repeat it and share it at the fire house!
We get it. Not everyone likes turkey, stuffing or dressing and all that other “Thanksgiving” food. These are sure to please all the same because they are great comfort foods that are simple to make!
Need we say more? The sweets sometimes are the best part! We’ve also included a Gluten Free option if anyone is looking for something new to try and it’s a Crock Pot recipe at that! Test them out and let us know what you think!
Here are FREE PRINTABLE recipe cards just for our readers! Just right click to save to your device to print.
