Warning: If Valentine’s Day makes you want to gag or sob, skip all of this and go straight to the bottom of this post.  You’re a Valentine’s Hater 😉

Are you a Valentine’s Lover?

How about a Valentine’s Day celebration that lasts for two weeks?

The Dating Divas have made that a reality.  Our fire wives love these kind of sweet surprises and we know they’d love to get something like this in return. (Hint Hint…. firefighters, that is a hint!)

Yes.  Valentine’s Day.
Either you like it… or you don’t.  Like any other special day, sometimes we have to celebrate things on days other than when they actually fall.  The countdown doesn’t have to be to February 14th.  It can be what ever day suits you!  If you aren’t a V-Day person, I promise the Divas have a ton of things for the WHOLE YEAR.

For two wonderful weeks, there is either a cute love note, a random act of kindness idea, or a pre-planned date night for each day.  They’ve put together everything you need.  Some of us just don’t have the time while others just don’t have the creativity… they’ve pretty much done all the work!

The toughest part about putting something like this into motion is knowing when to do it, and how to make it all a success. This countdown totally takes care of that.  Pick your Valentine’s “Day” and start your countdown from there!

Of course, you can bet there is a big finale planned for the perfect day for you weather it is the 14th or another day, with lots of romantic and spicy suggestions!

I love that they also encourage couples to think outward, too. Showing kindness to others in your sphere of influence is so huge in a marriage! It always helps us take our mind off our own selves and problems, and reminds us that our problems are a lot smaller than they seem. We love creating all of those memories, too! Here is just a lil’ sneak-peek into a totally “heart”-warming Random Act Of Kindness to do on Day 4!

Hurry and snatch yours up, get it prepped, and countdown with your spouse along with me to the big day this year!

Pssst….it’s about the price of a fancy cup of coffee or one and half Hallmarks but way more meaningful.

If you’re a Valentine’s Hater, read on……

It’s. Not. For. Everyone.   I admit.  It’s a bit of an over commercialized made up holiday that reminds some of us of wounds that run way too deep.

If you are feeling grumpy and snarky about Valentines, that’s justified and valid for many.  Take a deep breath, let go of that hate and move on past this vicious date.   Some people simply don’t celebrate it or are struggling to get those love connections going in their marriage.   If you are a wife of a firefighter in a desert in your marriage, check out our Rescue My Marriage group.

If you are a couple struggling with intimacy and connection like you used to have, firstly, just play along and try this.  Secondly, we’ve got a timely blog post on that topic as well.

If you don’t care at all about Valentine’s because you’ve got yourself a smokin’ hot firefighter at home lightin’ it up all year long, you may want to check out all the Fire Wife Sisterhood girl talk in our Fire Up Your Love Life community.   (Guys – Don’t worry we aren’t comparing the size of anything and the first compliment we received from firefighters is that they were having more sex ever since their wives joined the Fire Wife Sisterhood.  That’s a good thing!)
