It’s the 1st day of 30 Days of Thanksgiving for my Marriage, please join us every day in November for a deep reflective exercise of sincere gratitude meant to renew the soul of your marriage. Dig in and find your true gratitude.
I am grateful for the first thing about my spouse that confirmed they were “the one”.
I’ll admit being a young previously divorced single mother, my requirement list for my next love interest was quite long and looking back, unrealistic. You just can’t plan what will capture your heart. The one thing I was sure about was that I didn’t get married for the right reasons at the right time, and I didn’t want to ever go through or put anyone through that again.
I didn’t really know what I was looking for until I found it. A younger than I firefighter who had relatively nothing in common me with was not on my list, but that’s exactly what I found. Then the big he’s the one moment happened a few months in. It hasn’t been Happily Ever After… but there are years of growing gratitude and going strong.
What is the first thing that confirmed you had found your one?
November is such a great time for that BIG GIVE in your marriage. If you’re not in a place where feeling thankful is easy, dig down deep. Find true gratitude. Renew the soul of your marriage. Awaken those feelings you’ve forgotten.
