Day 2.

I am grateful that despite my weakness in communicating that… I need help, my husband loves me anyway.  I receive so much grace when I am being that crazy snappy lady who should just set pride to the side and ask for help in a calm manner.  Too often instead of plainly asking for help, I passively hint thinking it’s clear enough.  My weakness is expecting him to read my signals instead of my words..  I am practicing extending as much grace to him.

Do you know your communication weakness?

Beyond being grateful for being loved despite that weakness, we encourage you to search for ways to communicate in way more easily understood by your spouse.

What can you do to practice more clear communication when you need something?  This is a great conversation for couples, open up that line today.

A small town girl from Southwest Georgia who happens to value your marriage as much as she does her own. She is married to a firefighter who was a volunteer for several years, then transitioned into a career fireman the same month they married in 2008, and he is now a Captain at his full-time Department. They have two daughters, have been in the FFW family since 2012 and know marriage takes a lot of work, even when it's in the best seasons.
