How are you doing on this Marriage Thanksgiving journey?  We are a third of the way through the 30 Days of Thanksgiving for my Marriage series!  You can find all previous days at Firefighterwife.com/MarriageThanksgiving to catch up or find gratitude all year long!

Day 10
A Day of Rest

I am grateful for our rest times together.  The down time.  The time we can just sit still. Though they may not be frequent, the times we have to nap, relax or just be…. to rest and renew ourselves bonds our marriage without any words needing to be spoken.

These days just do not come often enough but when they do, I couldn’t be more grateful for those moments with my spouse. What is your favorite way to spend a day of rest with your spouse?

Jessie -

A small town girl from Southwest Georgia who happens to value your marriage as much as she does her own. She is married to a firefighter who was a volunteer for several years, then transitioned into a career fireman the same month they married in 2008, and he is now a Captain at his full-time Department. They have two daughters, have been in the FFW family since 2012 and know marriage takes a lot of work, even when it's in the best seasons.
