You’ve made it!  It’s day 30!

I am grateful to have a thankful heart towards my marriage.  A thankful heart does not leave room for all of the inevitable tough stuff.

Hurt, anger, bitterness, jealousy, fear.

Cold hard truth. When I allow my heart to lose it’s gratefulness, all of the tough ugly stuff seeps in.  Having a thankful heart keeps all of those thoughts at bay and leaves no room for those things to steal my joy.

I hope the last 30 Days have renewed the soul of your marriage.  Being grateful is not just about looking at the rainbows and sunshine and coating everything in glitter.  You know what that’s called?  Unhealthy denial of reality!  Being grateful is being ACTIVE.

Jessie -

A small town girl from Southwest Georgia who happens to value your marriage as much as she does her own. She is married to a firefighter who was a volunteer for several years, then transitioned into a career fireman the same month they married in 2008, and he is now a Captain at his full-time Department. They have two daughters, have been in the FFW family since 2012 and know marriage takes a lot of work, even when it's in the best seasons.
