Flame Fest is hosted by FirefighterWife.com and will be held July 10-12 in Chicago IL and brought to you by our partners e3 Consulting Group and Low T Center. Let the countdown begin!

1. Quality time alone with your husband.

We dedicate ourselves daily to our kids, demanding jobs and hectic schedules – but how often do we take the time to nourish our marriages and ourselves? Flame Fest is a great opportunity to re-prioritize, make time for your marriage and re-ignite that lost spark.

7. Support a worthy cause near to your heart.

You know what the Fire Wife Community does best? GIVE. This year a portion of our event proceeds will go to Comfort Zone Camp, in partnership with NFFF, to provide a weekend bereavement camp for children of fallen firefighters.  Send kids of fallen firefighters to camp?  Why of course!  We all want to help and here is one very specific way.

8. Meet new life-long friends

Relax, converse and have fun with the kindest, most fun group of fire couples you may ever meet.  Guys your guys can relate too.  Men who are tough and quality firefighters but not too tough to honor their marriage and family first.   Those kind of guys.  And yes, some guys who are a bit introverted and don’t like crowds but who come out to these kinds of things just to see the smile on their wife’s face.  Men your husband will be exchanging phone numbers with to keep in touch.  This is exactly what happened at Flame Fest 2013 in Atlanta.

10. Invest in your happiness and your life

Flame Fest is an event solely designed to help and support you! It is a place for firefighters and their spouses to reconnect, learn together, play together and be refreshed, renewed and encouraged by the strength of the fire family. We want you to leave together with hope and inspiration and tools and resources to make your marriage and life the best it can be.

Hear what last year’s attendees are saying about the event:

Heather:    “I went to the first ever flame fest last year. The best thing it did for my marriage was that it showed my husband how much I support him and how much I want to make my marriage work.”

Rhonda:  “I gained so much that weekend. I walked away with friendships that will last a lifetime. Finally being around these women that you connected with online just strengthens the friendships and brings the sisterhood together. I highly recommend going to Flame Fest 2014. It is an experience you wont regret, you will love every minute of it.”

Danielle:  “What is so great about this is the benefits received at the conference – it is not your average conference, there is a lot of fun and bonding. In addition, we did receive important information about mental illness, substance abuse and cancer prevention among firefighters. This was important information that I was able to take back to our department as well as my husband and spread the world about these important issues.”
