Many of you may remember seeing this photo on our Facebook Page during FDIC. This is the best DIY Air Pack we’ve seen in person! Everyone loved it and so many of you have asked…
“How can I make my own?!”
What fire kid wouldn’t love their own air tank?! We’ll, we’re going to tell you how to make your own! The mom who helped with this one gave us a little bit of detail about how they completed this one; It’s made from a 2 liter bottle, a pediatric mask (with the NRB bag removed), and two bungee cords.
I would start by covering your bottle in duct tape, drill a hole for the tube in the bottle cap, attach your hose/mask and throw some stickers on there! This should be easy for anyone who has no trouble being creative! If you need a little more detailed help, keep reading.
If you aren’t so creative and need more step by step instruction, check out this awesome version from Pinterest!
This Pin will tell you exactly how to make this tank to the left. This is definitely a parent craft, little hands can help, but it requires an adult for much of the steps.
The finished product is absolutely adorable and I’m sure it will be kid approved!
There is so much room for changing up a few of the steps and making it your own. (Especially if you have a vinyl cutting machine or are one of those firefighters who know exactly what to use to make a great pack.)
If you’ve created your own or decide to try one of these, be sure to let us know! Post a photo and tag us or post it to our Facebook Page!
We’d love to see what you all come up with!
